Default 350 rancher misses when sprayed with water

hello all. i have a 2001 rachcher that has been the best bike ever. no problems at all. couple weekends ago i was riding the lease and when i would ride through a small creek or any hole with water it would miss. i would pull choke out a little and it would run good again. got it home and started spraying water to figure out what was wrong. boy am im scratching my head. when i spray water under carb it would start missing. any ideas what could be wrong? thanks

Welcome to the forum. Check the vent lines on the side of the carburetor and make sure the hoses don't have any cracks, fell off or are plugged. There will be one on each side of the carburetor that go to a Y and then a single hose routed to the fuel tank area.

Make sure you Dielectric your plug also.

thanks for the replys guys. sorry it took so long to get back on and check for replys. been very busy. will check the hoses coming from carb to see if thats the problem. thanks
