They new one will be white, I've never tested them to see if the darken up when soaked with gas.

ok so the people at the honda shop really dont have a clue. i went to get fuel filter and they said there was not one on honda rancher 420. i told them it was in fuel pump and they try to sell me a fuel pump. after convincing them to look harder they finally found it after an hour. so if they tell you it does not come seperate dont trust them.

They are about $11.00 at the shop here. This may not help but if the front brake switch is sticking and you start it in gear it will start but not run with the switch stuck. Been there done that.

i Put the filter on today and it did not change anything. So i guess im taking it to shop i will let you know what happens.

I would put some "SeaFoam" into the gas and let it idle for a while so it will clean out the carb and jet.

That sucks.... I've taken about 15 mice out of my barn... They seem to like my snowmobiles but so far have left my quad alone.
