Hi everyone. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good cargo box/seat options for my 2002 Rancher 350. I would like to put around with a 50-60lb kid on the seat (no lectures please...I will be driving -extremely- conservatively when carrying such precious cargo) and am looking for a good cargo box/seat to go on the rear rack to provide a nice perch for the little one. I'm looking for something that is sturdy enough to hold such a weight and will fit nicely on the Rancher without pushing me too far forward on the seat. Unlike some rear racks I've seen these on, the Rancher has a little bar on the back that stands up from the rack a bit and I'm wondering if that would push such a box too far forward. Does anyone have any suggestions here?

I like the Kimpex Deluxe box most of all right now. (see http://www.pureoffroad.com/kimpex_deluxe_atv_box.htm#) It seems to have the most comfortable-looking seat and has good hand grips to hold onto. It also looks like it has a nice elevated pad in the front to keep the rear occupant from sliding too far forward and nice cut-outs on the sides for legs to go. The rear brake light is also a nice touch. Does anyone have any opinions on these types of boxes?

I would -love- to see a photo of a Rancher 350 with one of these types of boxes (or a Tamarack or any other recommended types)...please feel free to post or point me to pix!

Thanks in advance! I just got the Rancher on Thursday and though I've ridden lots of quads and motorcycles over the years, this is my first quad and I'm loving it!

Jut make sure you measure your rear rack and get a box that will fit your quad. I just got a bag from www.gandermountain.com, the quadgear evolution. Free shipping and good prices.

Yeah, I definitely need to match to my rack, I know. Trouble is, it's really hard to get dimensions for some of these boxes in the exact place I need it (from the front of the seat pad to the rear of the box). The only dimensions I can find for the Kimpex say that it is 27" deep. That seems really huge. If I have to sit 27" from that rear bar on the rack, I will be almost sitting on the tank. I like it that the Rancher has a nice bar on the rack to keep things from falling off, but I'm wondering if it is going to be a problem when finding a rear cargo box that will fit right (since I can't allow it to overhang off the back at all, and thus make more room for my seat in front of it, with the stock rack). I wonder if anyone makes an aftermarket rack for the Rancher that doesn't have that bar.
