Hello Folks:
I am having an issue with my 2002 Honda Rancher. The rear brake has not worked great since I bought it 3 months ago. When I press on the foot brake it doesn't do a great job stopping it. I have adjusted the nut in the rear of the ATV but when I did that the rear hand brake does not work very well because there is a lot of play and I when i use the hand brake I need to squeeze until almost touching the handle bars before the brakes engage. Anyone know why this is happening? Claude |

there are 2 wing nuts on the back brake. 1 for the foot and 1 for the lever. you may need to buy new brake shoes

take it apart and look at it, might be full of mud or be out of shoe or adjustment.
