Hi, i joined a couple of months back and posted a question and was helped straight away..hopefully someone can help me here please.

I have a 2003 350 es 2wd, i rebuild the clutch mechanism etc as when i bought it it was stripped down. the problem i am having with the bike is that it does not know what gear it is in.

I can change the gears fine with the foot shifter, but the thumb shifter doesnt work correctly and the dash shows all the wrong gears, it jumps from 1 to r then n then 3 for example........

i have changed the angle sensor but this has not cured the problem.

can anyone shen any light on what the problem may be?

If I have to guess I would say the gear position switch is bad (change switch assy). Located under the rear cover of the motor and a pretty common problem in my area with winter riding and short trips.

ive checked manual and tested angle sensor - seems fine
