Talked to a guy today said he's replaced at least 3 clutches on these bikes and it almost always turns out to be the hondamatic... hope he's not right in my case I'm going to dump some 40w oil in it either tonight or tomorrow night and see, when I checked the oil after getting it back from the mechanic to fix the timing issues it looked really thin to me I don't remember putting any additives in it but its been a while since she's been run really good, and on a side note it seemed to me it happened more when she warmed up likes this viscosity made a difference which to me is a no brainer gotta be the clutch but then again what do I know

Make sure you are only using the honda oil for the autoor you will have problems. On my problem started checking all the sensors TP, speed and angle sensors. With onm meter on sensor (in atv) and control motor removed, you can turn the shaft from one stop to the other probbily about 40 to 50 turns. The meter will read from .8 k onm to 1.2 k onm. Might will start off fine for 2-5 turns and then pin the gauge, tap on sensor and will jump around and come down. After some more turns will start rear in the range. I am ordering a angle sensor tomorrow. after trying Iwill tell you.

Will I put the angle sensor in and did the initial setting and ajusted the TP sensor and I can feel the shifts now. It is 80+ % better, BUT at 1/8-1/4 throttle still will kick out of first in auto only. All other throttle amounts will work fine. The quad has never shifted this good other than the first gear kick out on put throttle. I have check the TP sensor with a ohm meter and it checks out fine but the digital meter might not pick it up. So I will check it with a neddle meter tommorow. I am getting closer.

Any luck so far X-treme, I think I'm going to crack the front case this weekend to tear apart the clutch myself.. the manual show's some special tools but I think I'm going to give it a whirl myself with my trusty tool bag
