2000 TRX 350 manual shift, 2WD. Starts up fine but after about a minute run time the 10 amp ignition fuse blows. I have found and taped some rodent chewings, replaced the regulator, unpluged the carb heater, checked for more chewed wires etc. It seams to me if it was a dead ground it blow the fuse right off but it takes a minute or two before blowing.
Any ideas here would be greatly appreciated.
My suggestion is to unplug things one at a time and turn the key on and see if the fuse pops. When it stops popping, you've narrowed down where the problem is.
If you have rodent chewed wires, that's where I would be looking first.
Left seat and battery box cover off all week at the hunting camp. Pulled front plastics, done some testing and inspecting yesterday but didn't find any issues. Put everything back together and it runs fine......no more blowing fuse. I'm not sure what was wrong but I believe something may have been wet?
Thanks to everyone for your input.
Wet or more likely you moved what was causing the short. If you're lucky it will stay where you moved it and not short again.
