Do you have to clamp the tire down when you try breaking the bead? and does it work on the honda bead lock rims cause they are a real treat trying to get the bead to break.

Kipes, I cant speak for Richs technique, But I will say using my bead breaker you dont really need a helper but they sure help so if youve got some bozo standing around drinking all your beer? That person is dead weight and that person needs to be standing on the other side of your tire! lol

i lower a trailer down (the coupler) 1 inch above the tire and that holds it down so it only takes 1 person

yea that is funny ! i googled "moving avitar" and found it .....there are tons of them but there are some pornographic ones also so no kiddis around ....lol

Great idea! Thinking of making one myself now. Wonder if you could put the part that actually breaks the bead on a larger piece of pipe that would slip up and down the handle with a pin threw it so that you could adjust it for diffrent size rims? or do you think you would run out of leverage?

i bet that it will work.....plus you could also add a cheater pipe on the end of the handle

I wasn't knocking his design at all and like it alot and glad he posted it . I was just thinking how i might could use it on more than atv tires. Besides i have had my share of builds and realize when i am done things you could or should of changed but thats half the fun then you get to use the torch to remove your welds and redo it. Plus sometimes in my case the scraps you have laying around affects your builds and design.
