I'm looking at buying the 2.5XP off ebay(from Runva), for $140 shipped to my door. For that price I don't think I can go wrong it has to be better than my old 1500 superwinch.

I've bought a winch mounting plate and a snatch block from Runva before and they ship fast. I'm a bit closer to the GTA than you are tbell 1, but not by much.

Well I have a Runva winch and I is very high quality. I have used it several times and has never let me down. I would reconmmend this winch to anyone. I got the kit that had everything and I feel it was worth it. I purchased mine off of ebay. It was also very well packaged and came with all the parts it should have. The company is very good as well seeing as I contacted them with a few questions which they answered. Go for it, you wont go back or wanna try anything else. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

Just ordered mine Tbell 1. Since they are in province, the sales tax gets tacked on. So shipped w/tax&conversion $162. Now it can sit in a box in the garage until the plow goes away.

where did you guys get your winch mount plate from? Did you fab it yourself? If purchased, any specific brand better than another?

Runva/Canadawinch. Couldn't beat the price. Bolted in no problem.

Strange. I asked them, they said they don't have vehicle specific winch plates...

I bought it jan 16 2011. listed as 98-01 foreman winch mount $30. I can't find it on their site now though. Sorry to lead you astray.

No worries! I just ordered the KFI winch mount this afternoon, I've read good things about it. Still have to order my Runva though. Think I'll go with the 2.5xp synthetic..

Runva received! Looks good....I'm going to wait until I'm done with plowing before I put it on the quad. I had already installed a contactor box with rocker control so I'll leave the one that came with the winch for a spare. I'll post some pics when I install it.
