Thank you for all the compliments guys! We are very happy with the way it turned out. Heck of a lot cheaper than buying one, that's for sure!

Thanks rubi! I can't weld everything, but I am getting better. It is only a part time hobby for me though. I am always amazed by highly skilled welders that can lay down the perfect bead. There is definitely an art to it.

Not to mention, it was fun day with dad!
I was gonna ask the load rating as well. What type of hubs/axle did you use?

Looks like you have plenty of room to fit bigger tires on there if need be, looks stable as heck too. Nice job!

We bought the wheel/tire/spindle combos for a local guy here in Plattsburgh. They look a lot like the tires/wheels you would find under a two sled trailer. They must be at least 8inches wide, and are each rated for 700lbs.

"Way upstate" is in Plattsburgh, about 25 miles south of the Canadian border and 60 miles south east of Montreal.

I know where that is. I'm in Watertown. I go across the Rousses Point bridge on occasion. Nice trailer by the way. Hows the ice fishing this year? that trailer would be perfect for ice fishing

Thank you! Only the bays on Lake Champlain are frozen up so far, broad lake is still pretty open. Word is that the fishing has been okay, but crowded. I know a couple of guys that have been having some great luck on some of the smaller local lakes and ponds.

thats nice!! i'm fixing to be getting a rancher 350, and i'm gonna build a little trailer kinna like (that is about what i had in mind), but being that i am a welder, i'm gonna see how creative i can get on it, and light. maybe 3' - 3' 6" wide x 4' - 4,6 long, gotta be big enough to haul deer and hogs without putting them on the 4wheeler by myself, and enough to work around my little farm hauling produce, spayers, and feed, and such, i may use some sheet metal, and make a dump bed, just maybe, don't know yet!!!

Okay guys, here is a pic of the trailer at work. This one is off my cell phone, but I will post better ones later. Just thought you would all like to see it loaded up. Worked great BTW.
