Default Group Buy offer on 424 Disconnects?

We recently got in some of the Driveshaft Switchouts for the Honda 300 (1993-2000), and already have the Rancher 350/400, Rubicon 500 and Foreman 450 models. I did not know if anyone would be interested in a group buy, but post up if you are and I will see what sort or price I can work out based on the number of commitments we can get.

Default 424 kit

i have a warn 424 kit on my 03 rubi and cant say enough good about it they are probaly one of the best mods you can do worth every penny and then some its a totally different ride and feel as opposed to being in 4wd all the time and when you ride long distances with it you will notice a bit more time out of a tank of gas the one thing you always need to do even if you dont mud alot is keep the cable lubed or it will jam and break on you, if you have the cash to spend on one dont hesitate get it!

Give me a call or email me at 864-630-7433 or matthewbell@atvoutfitters.net. I think I can get these Wide Open Driveshaft Switchouts to you for $330.00 shipped, but need to do it in the next couple of weeks since there will be an increase coming in January.

Yep I've heard nothing but good things about the Warn 424 but this is a reproduction from a new company (Wide Open). I can't find anyone saying that they've installed one and how they like it good or bad. If I'm putting out that kind of cash I want to hear some real world feedback....IMO this product needs to stand on it's own not in the WARN shadow.

I'd pull the pin and buy one but the lack of user feedback on these new ones has me a little concerned.

LOL," Pull the pin"- That's a new one. I like it.

I will say we have sold (just us as a single dealer) over 120 of these so far and have not seen any issues in the 6-7 months we have been offering them. The company basically got Warn's OK to copy them, and even made the cable/bearings/seals backwards compatible with the Warn 424 at Warn's request so they would not have to continue making them themselves for existing 424 service needs. It does carry the same 1 year warranty as Warn offered on the 424 back when they were making them as well. It can't but help but be associated/compared with the Warn product since it's the same thing. It's not a better/different mousetrap, it's just the same mousetrap made by a different company. I do know they did some testing (for about 4-5 months) before they finalized the specs and put them into production so I think they did their homework, and I have no problem selling them and knowing that should there be a defect or other issue that the company would stand behind the product. Please do not make the mistake of meaning no feedback means bad feedback. I think an unhappy customer is what, 10 times more likely to complain than a happy customer is to compliment? Isn't that the figure that people quote? I can say with 100% certainty that I feel we would have heard about it if there were people having issues with them since customers almost always call the dealer they purchased an item from if they have issues to see what the procedure is to resolve it. I certainly understand your apprehensiveness, but I think that it might be a little presumptuous to say that not having 10 glowing reviews means it not a good product. I have yet to see a negative review so far (although I admit I am not exactly scouring the web looking for them!)

That being said, for the guy (and gals) out there who lamented that they could not get the Warn version, or ended up not wanting to pay 2-3 times the retail price on ebay as a result of supply vs. demand, this product fills a real market. There are tons of companies that abandon a non-current model (Kimpex with bumpers, Warn with the 424 and winch mounts, etc., ITP with certain wheels and tire sizes), so it's actually admirable that they would have enough faith that there would be a market for these to invest in making them for a machine that in some cases has been out of production for over a decade.

Fair enough, I'm not assuming no feedback means they are bad. However it does make one cautious. I've been looking hard trying to find some info or feedback on several sites and I can almost guarantee what you've just put is the most useful information out there right now. And the fact that you've sold that many units without any bad feedback is great. The only thing I've found to go on is the sales pitch on each retailers website. I'm also extra cautious because shipping to canada tacks an extra$ 100 or so depending on the dollar and who does the shipping. My intent wasn't to imply that the product was sub standard, if that is how it came across I apologize. I'll stew over it a bit more and maybe give you guys a call. Thanks for putting the info up here.

No offense taken at all. I actually like to discuss such things as it gives me an idea of customer's perceptions of the products we sell (and of us as a company in many cases). I agree they hammer you guys up North sometimes, so we often suggest calling us to see if we can do the order via USPS instead of UPS if the item is not too large or heavy since even if the initial shipping cost is a little higher, the fact that they do not hit you with the UPS brokerage fees is usually a big money saver.
