Total was about 22 bucks without paint, most expensive stuff was the fittings for the PVC. Chrome hose clamps about $1 each, PVC was $7 for a 10', $12 for fittings. Paint was an additional $3.

I thought about the same thing as far as a fishing pole! I have some ice fishing rods that will fit perfect if I detatch the reel. Thanks again for the great idea!!

I misread the receipt...I got more stuff and looked at the wrong item, total was about $17.50 plus I have enough PVC for 2 more. Very cheap for waterproof storage!!
New cell phone $300, dry roll of TP due to waterproof storage...priceless

If you use ABS instead of PVC you will not need to paint it. ABS is black.

how did you mount your tube? I see the strap, but did you screw it to the rack or bolt it?

this is what i bought at home depot (but in 6 in) drilled 4 holes in the flat part of rack and used a nut,bolt and a lock washer
