winch questions
so im in the market for a winch now but i have a few questions.
i have an 07 500 foreman with 26s what size winch do you reccomend (2500, 3000, 3500) what brand? warn seems really expensive compared to other brands as if ur just payin for the name. what kind of mount/where to mount? what ik for sure is that i want synthetic line and waterproof. i want a good reliable winch thats not gonna crap out on me. i was lookin into milemarker as well, they seem to have nice winches for the price. cabelas has them on sale right now. 2500 with syn is 279 and 3500 is 289

will it fit where the winch mounts up to? bc ik that 4000 is too big to fit without modification and ive never seen a 3500 till yesterday. is milemarker a good brand? never heard much about them

oh alright. ill have to just buy and try i guess lol. shouldnt be a bad winch, they make truck winches too

You will find that atv winch's from 1500-3500# are pretty much the same size... Mounting brackets should match what make and model of you machine... Good luck.

thanks man. and one other question. when buying a winch mount are all winch mounts the same as in all winches will mount to it? or are they brand specific like warn winch fits warn mount etc etc

Just let them know what machine your putting it on and they will get you a mount that fits... Might be specific, might be universal.. Not sure. Either way, I'm sure they will take care of you..

ok thats what i thought. i was jw bc going from sight to sight it seems that each site has one mount thats universal to the ones they sell. like cabelas sells warn/milemarker/trailtamer/superwinch and they sell one bracket that fits all of those.
