I bought a 60" Moose and returned it, piece of junk if you ask me. I put the Tusk on and like it very much. Very similiar to the Cat plow I used to have.

I'll be getting a new ATV in a few week and have started looing for plows.
What plow width is usable with a 2012 Foreman 500 (475cc) 50, 60? IT seems all my reading here has ranksed the plows in this order of strength & Quality Lower.... Warn Cycle Country Moose Tusk ...High futher opinons? TJR |

Leverage? With the rear pivots so far back from the cutting edge, that creates a pretty long lever arm. The push tube tab spacing is also not that wide.
I assume on a moose plow, or other similar belly mounted plows, the winch line not only acts as lift, but also provides the lateral stability when plowing at an angle. Otherwise It would seem the mounting plate or push tube tabs could get tweaked? Thoughts? |

They won't get tweaked unless you it something HARD. The kind of hit that leaves your wrist and ribs hurting. I've been using my Moose plow for years and I have bent the push tubes but that was because I hit a curb at around 35 mph. For the average person it should last a lifetime.

I bought a Cycle Country with power angle and manual lift when I bought my quad new in '07. First time I used it, the manual lift was terrible and I had to place my boot on it in order for it to remain in the up position. Fast forward to last year when I installed a winch on my quad, so goodbye manual lift, hello electric lift! First time out last season, I broke the power angle but to me its not a big deal to jump on and off and angle the plow. I simply place a 3/4 eye bolt in the opening for the blade and it works great. I plow a few driveways with it and so far the quad has not met snow it couldn't push.
