Default My last tire thread, final call...

Okay, final tire thread. Looks like I will be buying the bike in 2 or 3 weeks. I want to order wheels/tires the day I purchase the quad. I will be buying a 2012 Foreman. My riding is probably 75% hardpack, 20% loose dirt or mud, 5% pavement or gravel. I have to ride maybe 100 yards of straight pavement to ride the trails i'm on the most. Farthest is the occasional 4 mile trek to another trail system, any farther and my bike is trailered. My trails are hilly, winding hardpack. Typically my loose dirt/mud areas are slow and technical. I rarely break 30mph on pavement and rarely break 15mph on these tight twisty trails.

The wheels are going to be these:

Now for tires. They will either be:

26x9x12 & 26x11x12 Bighorn 2.0's @ $730.96 shipped with lugs and center caps. From Rocky Mountain ATV (they dont give lugs with wheels, you have to buy them seperate)

OR

26x10x12 & 26x12x12 Swamplites @ $675 shipped with lugs and center caps. From KG Motorcycles Tires.

Help me choose between these two only.

Rest easy Rich, this is my las tire thread.....

I need to make up my mind within the next 2 or 3 weeks. Thanks for being patient with me thus far and thanks in advance for your opinions/advice.

and by all means, if you can find me a better deal from a reputable company, please share.

Yeah, I have always liked the 108 and 212 black, but EVERYONE where I live has them. I want something different although they are awesome wheels! Actually, KG has awesome deals on ITP wheels. They are only $5 more than the STI with the swamplites. Rocky Mountain is outrageous on ITP wheels.

I mainly posted about the dirt devil xt to stir some opinions. I've researched and researched and pound for pound I feel the swamplites are better tires, but not by a large margin.

i hear ya on the wheels man, those were my next choice after my itp's, but just couldn't pass up the ss212's..... i think both those tires are good choices i just like the look of swamps alot more..... why did you shy away from the original bighorn's.. the 2012 with those in 26's would be beastly imo!!!
