Tack I'm new to the forum I have the Sam quad your getting had it for a month I did a lot of searching for tires. I had the big horns on it at first 26 then put a lift and 28x12x12 zillas on all four corners. My big horns weighed as much as as the 28's. Kgmotorcycletires had the best price on tires and rim combos I searched for weeks. I love my zillas but I would go with the swamp lights personally.

27" radials on a 2012 500? How much power would I lose. Looking like I might be able to go to the shop and get the bike and order wheels/tires at the end of next week or beginning of the following week!
Guys, im just down to size now. It will be Black Diamond XTR's on STI HD2 wheels. Just choosing 26" or 27" 26x9 and 26x11's will actually cost about $12 more than 27x9 and 27x11 per set.

Didnt read the whole thread so if you posted it I didnt see it. So go with the lighter ones, theres only a half inch difference in ground clearence.

26x11 = 27.3lbs $732 shipped 27x9 = 28.7lbs 27x11 = 31.1lbs $727 shipped Im sorry, theres only $6 difference. 26's are from KG cycles, 27's are from RockyMountainATVMC. KG has lugs and center caps. $16 of the price from RMATVMC is lugs, center caps are included with the wheels. RM doesnt sell the 26x9 and 26x11. I agree. Going with the lighter one is my initial reaction, Tank.

At this point in time when I refurbish my Rubicon I think I'll go with BD XTR 25x8 and 25x10x12s, stock size and stock rims.
Thats the size thats on there now and in all reality I have no complaints.

I just like the look of bigger tires and if it will turn the 27's (26.5's) with little to no power loss i'd like to run them.
