When I "refurbish" my Rubicon I'm going with OE wheels (might buy new ones from Honda if I can't fine a nice enough used set) and 26x9x12 and 26x11x12 XTRs.

If I were buying tires I would always go with 26" over 25"s.

That added 1/2" ground clearance really does make a difference and I seriously doubt that you could ever tell any difference in power compaired to 25s.

I like the Swamp Lites looks a lot. I would love to try a set of them.
Thanks. I guess i'm having a hard time getting over the weight of 26x10 and 26x12 black diamonds. I still am unable to find the 26x9 and 26x11 anywhere.

Nevermind. Just found them for $732 shipped.

I've never done buisness with KG Motorcycle Tires before though. I have reservations about osending $700 to a company I know nothing about.

In case anyone was wondering since it still says TBA on their site. I emailed STI today and inquired about the 26x9x12 and 26x11x12 black diamond, Rubi, I told them "Kenny at Big Rock Candy Mountain told me to contact them". This is part of the e-mail I got in return:

"Kenny is a great guy. I will be sure to thank him for the referral. These 2 sizes were released a few weeks ago and most of the online retailers don't have them listed yet. I think if you contact any of them directly they will be able to give you a price and have the tires shipped to you.

Part # STBD1269 -- 26x9R-12 STI Black Diamond XTR
Tire Weight: 23.4 pounds

Part # STBD1261 -- 26x11R-12 STI Black Diamond XTR
Tire Weight: 27.3 pounds "

The people at STI seem very helpful and friendly. They also assisted me in finding places that would have this size already and giving me personal contact info for reps at those retailers. They seem like they would be easy to deal with if there was a problem with a wheel or tire. It took them less than on hour to respond to me. A little customer service goes a long way. These tires on STI wheels are now at the top of my list. I'd rather try a new product with good customer service behind it than a proven product with god only knows what behind it.

Does anyone have a set of stock or turf take offs for sale or trade. I have 4 Carlisle Mud Wolfs and only use my Foreman on grass and pavement....I don't need the very aggressive tires. Thanks, Chuck

Cool. I had never even heard of them until about a week ago. They have great prices! They are a little higher on STI wheels than some, but not enough to make more than about $5 per wheel difference.

chrisb - I'm sure you will be pleased with your Black Diamond XTRs.

If I bought a set of new tires for my Rubicon today I would buy the same size that a_tack is looking at and they would be XTRs.

I got another set of tires yesterday and will post pics on my Black Diamond thread.

Man my buddy just bought the black diamonds in the 26-10/12...the rears are extremely wide because of the rim saver. Nice tire, but I wouldn't run that 12 rear. The 10 is a pretty wide tire, and take in consideration they do run very small. I think his 25 stockers were taller. Thought about a zilla at all? I'm running 28's and love them.
