Bear Claw HTR - STI HD Beadlock

I received my new tire/wheel package. Hoping to get them on my Rubicon tonight. I ended up going with 26x9 on all four. I love the look of these tires and can't wait to test them out on the trails this spring. I will post pictures in the next day or two along with my impressions and why I decided to go with this set up. In the meantime here is a sneak peak of what they look like.

Stay tuned....

Here is what they look like on the Rubicon. I couldn't be happier. These tires are huge compared to the stock tires.

25x8 & 25x10 Stock Tires compared to 26x9 (all around). The 26x9 are roughly 9 1/4 inches wide. The 25x10 stockers on my rear are roughly 9 1/4 inches wide also (they run smaller than advertised). The height on the rear stocker tire is just under 24 inches tall. The height on the Bear Claw 26 is true to size with about 6 PSI in them at the moment.

After much deliberation between the Black Diamonds XTR's, Tera Cross, and Bear Claw HTR's, I decided to go with the Bear Claws. I think the other two tires would have been great but I am very happy with my purchase so far. I went with the 26x9's all around after measuring the width and realizing that the Bear Claws were roughly the same width as my rear stock tires. I haven't ridden the tires on anything but the local streets so I cannot give a good review yet. Running around the streets they handled extremely well, were silky smooth, and even felt light. My Rubicon is about 2.5 inches higher and has a noticeable increase in ground clearance. Steering was very responsive.

I cannot give a fair review without running them through the motions on my normal riding terrain. I'm very impressed with them so far but time will tell. For now, I love the look of these tires with the STI Beadlocks. The 26x9's are fairly light for an 8 ply tire.
