Hey guys. I just purchased a navy blue honda foreman and i want to put 30x9 silverbacks with 14" MSA M12's on it. Just ordered a 2" highlifter kit but Im just curious to what other mods (if any) i will need to make to fit them on with no rubbing and still get all of the power i can out of the bike still? Or would i be better off with putting 28's on it? Thanks in advance

I personally would go 28's. But you'll get different opinions! 30's seem a bit much for such a new quad and you may have to trim some plastic as well!

well from reading about a few folks that put 28's on 14's, and then stating they felt a power loss, going to 30's is for sure going to need a reduction
and then again, the 2 inch lift might not be enough to clear all with 30's too
and last, no expert here, but I believe that many folks with lifts on 2012-13-14's, have issues with rear drive shafts not being long enough after lifting
I coul;d be wrong, but I'd look into that if I was you
some lift kit companys I think are starting to sell longer rear shafts just due to all the problems with it!
and last pending mud type, I would wonder if a 15% gear reduction is enough with 30's to spin in the sticky mud??
good luck and post some pic's as you go

You will NOT NEED a gear reduction but it will be worth it to have the 30" silverbacks do not measure at "true" 30 it's more like a tall 28 and if your runnin skinnys all the way around it will be just fine

So many opinions. I think im going to throw the 30's on and see how it goes from there. I really dont want to trim any plastic on my new bike so if thats what it comes down to, ill have some brand new 30's for sale. I just hate asking "what if...". Id rather just try and say it didnt work rather than "what if..."

you're gonna take an awful hit on buying those and immediately reselling them if they dont work. i highly doubt u will spin 30's in thick stuff and after seeing 28's on the 14 4man, i'd say u will need to trim.

You will spin them they will work I have 29.5 skinnys then skinny wide combo and I even rode 31's skinny wide combo all WITH NO GEAR REDUCTION I didn't add the gr till the 32's and the only time my bike had a problem was with the 31's and the tires you want are smaller then all the tires I named you will be fine and you will love it

If he can fit them and spin them so can you

Did you try the 30s off the 420 yet?

Get a pic or two if you don't mind, I'm dying to see a new body Foreman on some decent tires. Only seen one new 420 on 29.5 OL2s and it was gorgeous.

I've got a 14 foreman with 27x7.5-14 interforces and for the most part it'll turn them no problem but I got into some real thick **** at mudjam a couple weekends ago and just about got locked up! I had to throw the ol lady off and rock the bike side to side before they would barely break free. I think a gear reduction is a wise choice if your gonna run them big tires.

Dang! That looks good!! Did you have to trim anything?

I've seen a 14 with 29.5 terms that spun them in peanut butter
