Smile Rubi Wheel And New Tyres

Installed new tires and Rubi wheels a few days ago and just the rims polished up! Just need to get a new bash plate for the front.

Thanks for the comments!

Rich, I didnt get a chance to test the new tyres off road yet, hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday as I have some fallen trees in one of our fields, that I need to get chopped up to clear the area, and come in handy as firewood too!

Something I have been surprised by though is, the steering feels less heavy and its easier to turn! I would have thought it was going be a real weight with bigger tires and 8ply, but its been the opposite affect.

Sudesh they look great. Tyres are very tractor like. Will be intresting to see how they perform off road. If you dont mind me asking could I ask how much they were?

The wheels look really fresh. Are they the same size as standard wheels, or did you need to put those on to fit that size of tyre?

Cheers

Hi Stu,

I've had this style of tire on a Rubicon/Foreman 500 Hydrostatic a few years ago and they work really well for me. I have a 1/2 Ton logic sower and need good traction for towing this through the wet ground.

Price...........Not so good lol They cost me £400 fitted and all.

The wheels are the same size as standard so you dont need to change them, I just wanted the aluminium wheels as they look much better, lighter and wont rust.

Yeah that's not cheap per corner! Got cheaper tyres on my car!!!

I like the alloy wheels, mine are getting a bit tired looking and was thinking of giving them a freshen up with some hammerite. Doubt I'd find any 2nd hand ones off a 500 and as you know getting anything non standard is a nightmare.

Cheers

The 500 rims are hard to get here and if anyone selling a set knows how much they are NEW, You would probably pay around £300/£400 for a set.

New from Honda UK they are £206.11 each.

To freshen up your own wheels, I would have them sandblasted and then painted.
