There would be a pile of crap in the picture too if it was me, because I would have shat myself right there!!! I hate a snake and I'll go out of my way to kill one too. A 12" grass snake will turn into 3- 4" grass snakes when I see em.

Agree with FF, shoot them with a shotgun. Don’t use bullets unless you’re very good aim and can hit critical area on first shot. A stretched out terrified snake making an escape is extremely hard to hit with a bullet if you’ve missed your first shot. Then you have a pissed off snake hiding out somewhere on your property presenting other unpleasant contact opportunities. Have tons of timber rattlers here. I kill all on the property but, don’t fool much with the ones seen in the wild. I use electric collars to snake proof the dogs. Can’t take too many precautions, IMO, with ones encountered around your house…..kill em.
