im thinking about buying a dirt bike so i can learn to ride a motorcycle, but im not for sure what i want to buy yet.

I got rid of the dirt bikes 10-12 years ago, only have my old chopper left as a street bike and last year I only put a couple miles on it.

really depends on how you want to ride, trail bikes are great,(on the trail).just don't hammer the jumps..crf230f is a great trail..if your more inclined to bump the hump.KTM and the older pre 08 cr 250 is awesome.. i've not been on the newer honda's. so can't really comment..yammer hammer yz are good bikes. hold up well under the gun also...not a real big fan of suzuki/kawi... blown a lot of rings.but thats another story..peace
