Me and some good friends made the trek to the Sand Hill ATV Branch aka, "the sand piles" today and had an absolute blast!!! This place is amazing, 350 or so acres of sand, dunes, water, trails, etc. Amazingly beautiful, weather was awesome, the company was the best, just an all around blast! I can't wait to go back. We had some killer moments today, some great technical stuff, got stuck a few times in the soft sand, saw some guys pull a tandem skim across the water, and some other kickass riding by the rest of the LA crew. Never got their names, but I'm sure we'll see them again sometime in the near future.

Anybody looking for a great place to ride, man, this is it!! Pretty much has all your riding stuff covered except for you hardcore mudders. Red Creek is the place to go for that from what I hear.

Anyways, here's some moments from today for you guys:

Just arrived, unloading, the weather was a perfect 68* about this time, but it got hotter!

Brandon, rides the Honda 450R

Steven, man, this guy is nuts on a atv!!

A few of the spectacular views, and as usual, the pics don't do it justice (all the water on the property is spring fed and totally drinkable, crystal clear, and just beautiful!)

Sorry, it's located around the Wiggins/Perkinston/Poplarville area in Stone Co. Mississippi.

Soft shell turtle, I've wanted to catch and hold one of these for as long as I've known they existed and FINALLY! I get to hold one!! Huge thanks to Steven for gettin' in the cold ass water to catch this little guy (he was already wet so not really a big deal). I knew they were called soft shell turtles for a reason, but they feel like soft rubber, really strange, especially for a turtle.

Wow - I used to ride there back in 2003-2004 when I was going to school at Perk (MGCCC Perkinston campus)...back then it wasnt a park yet - just the abandoned Diamond Mining Pits. Nobody really knew about it so we had the place all to ourselves. It was loads of fun and pretty amazing considering its the only place with giant sand dunes and hills anywhere close to South Mississippi. Awesome to see someone got it and turned it into a park! Now I wish I had a sport ATV just to play with down there!
