Those are some awfully nice words, thank you Glide.

Yep, the ACTs are going fast, too fast.

The next set I plan on getting the HDs or 6-ply and I hope they grip as good as the regular ACTs. If the HDs last longer then they have to be made of a harder rubber. I'll go with the 26" next time.

The set I have now were used and had less than 200 miles on them when I got them from a friend. I paid about what anyone else would pay for just one tire.

I got the same kind of deal on my Carlisle Bad Lands. The only good thing I have to say about them is that they are no longer on my ATV.

Here he is back in '72 with his new Triumph Bonneville. This was one of only 200 1972 Bonnevilles
built with a 5-speed trans. This was one of only two that were sold in Utah.
My brother said his 5-speed would spank the 4-speed Bonnevilles.

In 1974 he bought a new Trident like the one pictured above.
(this is not my picture, I got it off the internet)
Today that Trident sits in his garage with just over 11,000 miles on it. Other than a small
ding in the gas tank it still looks new.

Just me but I think Triumph built the best looking motorcycle ever produced. I think the '68 Bonneville is the
probably the best looking motocycle ever produced, but thats me.

I believe that the 1968 Trident was also considered to be the very first "super bike".

those 5 seeds were BadAzz that's a fact, the Triumph's is why Harley come out with a Sportster as it was one of the first sport bikes and their was always a great competition between the Brit guys and the USA guys!

Now as far as the most precession brit bike ever produced was the Norton's.
they all had a dial indactor on almost everything I still got a ONE Year only 1967 P-11 sitting in my old shop (engine & Tranny only)that I'm never going to do anything with I would like to find it a good home , just asking $400 & U pick it up....shoot you could not buy a head for that price!

but the little red triumph above (Dixie) was my first love and Ive been looking for her for 27 years now, sold her to a buddy to buy my first harley, I rode that bike for 7 years and knew the 7 previous owners of it (small town trading)........ S/N DU5239 she was a 1963 first year unit construction, and never let me down! although I did crack a rocker box one time, but that was my falt,,,I'm one of the FEW that ever owned a triumph that did NOT leak oil....I stayed right on top of her, earned a lot of respect because of it too!

and I rode her like a stole that bike, We went through a lot of changes that little bike & me....thats why Ive always looked for her to buy her back hopefully one day ill find her again and rebuild her that way I wanted to back when I was a kid!

Tee, those are some nice rubber you got there! Are those the mudzillas?

Rubi, I do believe your right. I think the trident was the first "superbike" but I have to agree with Glide. Norton is a better built brit bike. But my love for bikes extends to all of them. I believe all bikes are nice. Every manufacturer has its own quirks. I have driven Triumph, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, BMW, and Harley. All ranging from cruzers to pure race bikes. I cant think of a bike I liked better, because all of them are good. Every bike had its own feeling. But I will say that the older ones had more heart.

That being said....My XL185 will always be my number 1 (it was my first). Ive been riding her since I was 13(10 years).

No you misread my post I said......Norton was most likely the most "Precession" Brit bike.

their is a big difference, the Nortons had actual dial indacators from the git go, most of today mechanics have never even seen a dial indicator, let alone know how to use one!

and I got to agree their is NO best bike ever made......its a fable...and that coming from a old Harley guy......Ive never have cared for those Harley attitudes a lot of Harley riders have & the same go's for other bikes too their Brand Snobs......and trust me Ive earned the right to tell 'em about it, but it just is not worth my time! (we need more Smileys)

anyways the best bike on the planet is the one you enjoy & makes you happy....the rest ......are not!

Funny you say that, most Harley riders have tha same kind of attitude as Polaris riders.

Everyone rides a bike except Harley riders make it a point that you know they don't ride a bike, they ride a "Harley".

Same with Polaris riders. They don't ride ATVs, they ride Polaris'. I always want to tell then I'm sorry.
