So I was stuck the other day....
and my winch is broken (mulling over a new one to get) and I didn't have a chain. So I had to use 100 or so ft of paracord and my bro to pull me out. I first wrapped the paracord once, and it almost held but broke. Then I wrapped it twice and he pulled me right out. It's amazing how strong that stuff is. It was getting dark so it was nice to be out of the mud and I got to thinking, with 8cv boots on this thing you have no idea what the **** you're driving through in the mud, and I'd be easy to rip one (not that I haven't ripped my fair share anyway).
Which brings me to my point, how do ya'll deal with the deep mud and trying not to hit crap in it, or do ya just do what I do, go in and hope for the best???? |

when i was in the army i usta carry 100ft of that green nylon cord all the time in the field (we called it 550 cord because it can hold 550lbs)........that **** is awsome! and on the winch just go with a warn winch and be done with it !!!!

550 cord is the ****! I love that stuff. I have a 100 ft of it in my truck at all times.

i'd get the warn winch. and as for cv boots, i never really worried. my honda had plenty of protection up front and no cv boots to rip in the rear. hehe.

i usta keep it in a ruck sack that i had on my back but stoped that when i was braking brush on the foreman and had a branch get cought up in the ruck and got ripped of the wheeler ! that is when i built that pvc tube for storage
