Default 700 efi polaris ranger high idle after wash

After washing the mud off the motor and the underside it started idling high making it hard to shift. After running it for a couple of days (short runs) it runs with no problems. I’m sure whatever is causing the problem is drying when it gets rode. Anyone know what would be causing the problem, other being washed. This has happens every time the motor get hosed off.

Maybe the cold water makes it think its cold out side and makes it run rich (Choke) and higher RPM. How long does it run at the higher RPM and does it do it when you leave it running while washing it off?

Ok-Ok...We've picked on you long enough.....Try using di-electric grease on ALL the wire connections. That will help. Make sure you grease all the connections....Good luck.

You're probably right. I'd be checking temp sensor(s) first. If they check out go after the IAC next.

That or just keep the bike clean and dry 'til you get it sold
