Default Listneing to your Customers-ATV overview

Can-am is doing something right....Listening to their Customers!

now before you get the wrong impression....I was buying some Goggles at the local Honda/Can-am shop, and picked up one of their Can-am 2011 product Catalogs, just for something to look at and was Dazed at at the set up of one of their Models.....meaning at least somebody over at Can-am is Listening to their Customers....here's what I'm talking about!

BTW: just copying & pasting from their site & is just a few of the things that impressed me.....for a show room bike...somebody was thinking ahead as their installing the stuff that everybody is doing AFTER they buy a new Quad! They even added

heres a Link to their site,
Outlander 800R X mr - Key Features | Can-Am ATV

some of the Factory Mods!
X mr model added features:
  • Front and rear Air Control Suspension (ACS)
  • 30-inch ) Gorilla Axle & Silverback tires
  • 14-inch ITP cast-aluminum wheels
  • Dual-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
  • Integrated Snorkel System (ISS)
  • Relocated radiator
  • Visco-Lok QE
  • BRP XL3000 winch with roller fairlead and wired remote control
  • Aluminum taper-profile handlebar with wind deflectors
  • Mudguards
  • Mud-riding footrests
  • Longer wheelbase
  • X mr-package coloration, graphics and seat cover
No don't worry I'm not about to flip to the Dark side....I just like that they listened to their customers!......Come on Honda get off your Arse!

Nice work, SpyGlide...LOL...just teasing, but it is good to know ANY company listens to it's buyers. Hoping I'll never be in the market for another quad or find reason to look for another Honda.

I told ya I love to Learn Tee.....hehehe

As far as the Can-am's, I just really liked what they done, as that's one of the first things everybody does anyway..is add all the Mods, why not let the Factory do it and warranty it! then you can spend more time riding!

Tires & Rims
Snorkels
Winch
the Heavy Duty Axels (after they find out stock & Massive after market only causes problems)..LOL
and for the Liquid cooled Riders...relocation of the Radiator is just plain Smart!
and the 2 step foot rests...to >ME< all make just Common sense, & I would dare to bet their going to sell the crap out of them!

I got a Question for the Folks up North & FAR North who ride Snowmobiles........what is the most popular brand of engine in those things.....Ive never been on one!

Nothing wrong with learning at all!

I like modding so I can price it how I want to and get just what I want, especially without rolling it into a financed purchase if you don't have cash up front. And I've heard other people like you that can't be bothered with fixing it up...just gimme and go! Not sure what's available yet in the ATV market but I've heard it's just as extensive as normal vehicles. For now, taking it really easy cuz it's addictive once you get going.

Honda's are more for work and trail riding. My 2 cents worth. They do both very well. I bought my 05 ruby for a work horse, not a mud runner. even though I find myself in one every once awhile.

Well to answer your question about the snowmobiles Yamaha uses there own,BRP uses rotax which they own,Arctic cat uses suzuki, and polaris use they own(except for the four-stroke which uses a weber built motor. As far as the most reliable hands down yamaha(all four-stroke).BRP once had really reliable two-strokes but since they came out with E-TEC that went out the window(they make alot of money on warranty claims and there #1 in sales). As for the ride,it is out of this world.Power that is brutal(145HP in my 1000cc yamaha warrior),cover the ground much faster than any quad(long travel suspension with high quality shocks),and go anywhere over the country that has snow(like a roller coaster on the hills). Here we got about 3 months of riding this past winter then the quads rule(they go over bare ground much better). Here a pic from this past winter.I could buy a turbo for this sled and have 280-350HP no sweat but that would be nuts.

ohhhh NO nothing could be further from the truth! what on Gods green earth would make you think I'm that type of person!?!?!? Girl have you lost your mind!

I do my own wrenching....BUT my point was I liked what they did with this ONE Quad and the fact that they looked at the market and said hey we can do this, its Smart Business practices........Ain't no way in h3ll I'm buying a $12,000 +tax ATV! I could almost buy 2 NEW Foreman's and Mod them myself for that price!

but no no no....I do my own wrenching period......always have!

Geezzzzz I'm not trying to switch anybody over or talk them into buying another Brand.......I said that from the Get go up in the first post,I just made this post to show what Honda "Could" Do if they would get off their azz and build a big bore ATV!

Thanks!
I was wondering what types of motors were in them things now a days as I know nothing about them and was wondering if their clam to fame was that rotax engines & if their was any merit to it

Yes, I know, I do live in Can-Am Country and I am glad to see that they listen to their field guides....I did bought a Honda product and do not regret it at all but, I agree, all (Honda too) companies should do that....Can't understand why it is not the case, if it is built for us, we have to be the one that somewhat participate in the desing of it....That being said, I did bought my ATV and want to keep it for a long while (at least 10 years) so that is why, I will not wait for any company to built it the way I would like it and modify it like the way it will fullfill my needs and more...
