Default Help with oil,please.

This may seem stupid to some of you. I just picked up a 06 polaris sportsman 90 yesterday. He was using polaris sythetic 2 stroke oil which is tan in color, I filled it up with amsoil race synthetic 2 stroke oil which is red in color. I know the rules about mixing syn and non syn, but is it cool since they are different in color or should I drain it which is a premix tank or is mixing the two ok. It was low when I used the amsoil and he just gave me 2 more quarts of the polaris oil today.
Thanks guys

I dont know too much about the 90s but from what Ive learned about polaris over the years is you only run polaris fluids.

It's not the gear oil, it is only for the premix. but maybe I'll play it safe and drain it

I've never heard a mechanic say mixing conventional & synthetic was a good idea

I second what h22ate said. I've heard that many many times from very reliable people, like h22ate.

What are ya talking.....$12.00 - $16.00 in oil? I would drain it, and pour in some good clean oil, if it was me.
