Here's the guest ranch where Polaris held their 2011 introduction.
I will tell you that everyone there from Polaris are GREAT folks and Polaris was very very hospitable. I had a great and wonderful time while I was there.

And all the ATV/Rangers had one of these little stickers on them.

Have you ever seen ASIMO?? http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/

ASIMO is the only "robot" in the world that can recognize stairs and walk up them and back down and he has been around for a long time.

Honda developed a new aluminum alloy for the Rincon pushrods just to save a few ounces in weight, what did Polaris develope?? A heavier steel??

Honda builds what they want you to have, not what you want to have.

I think I'll have another drink.
**** well stated, i got a chance to check out a few other brands today, and man have they got all the bells and whistles, **** one even had a dump bed. i have to admit,i was pretty impressed with the yamaha, seems to be a well built machine.but all the others i looked at,i would'nt give a plug nickel for.it all comes down to this,at the the end of the day,i know my foreman will get me and the wife home, and all the bells and whistles in the world, wont give me the peace of mind my honda does.

Default I was impressed

I have a 2003 Rincon, but have to admit the XP850 EPS Polaris is a spectacular machine!Honda better start updating thier bigbore machines. The local dealer (who handles 4 lines of atv's)says he sells 3 to 1 Polaris over his other makes.

One option that everyone seriously needs to consider when buying a new Polaris is an extended warrantee. I wouldn't buy one without one but then I wouldn't buy a Polaris period.

Polaris still has the worst reputation for dependability. They improved greatly over the years but following Polaris forums the quality is going back down hill.

I know a guy who has an 850 XP and he is always bragging at how much money his extended warranty has saved him. I don't think he realizes as he goes down the list of everything the warrantee has had to cover he's telling me what a POS his Polaris is and his isn't the exception.

How many 20+ year old Polaris machines do you know that are still running? other than the ones that were hardly ever driven compared to 20+ year old Hondas. They might sell more Polaris's 3-1 but but the numbers are the opposite (and then some) when it comes to reliability.

I've ridden a 2011 850 XP EPS and a 850 Touring.

The Touring was really a pretty nice ride and understandable why people like them.

The 850 XP EPS I drove was like holding a spoon by the big end and pushing the handle through a bowl mush. It might not be too bad as a "road" machine or a low speed trail machine but the handling at speed was scary. It felt very top heavy to me and dove in corners bad.

It has tons of power but nothing to handle it.

But then again, that's just my opinion.

I get attached to my vehicles so it better hold up. And I'm TOO impatient so the last thing I want to do is spend my time dropping off and picking up an ATV because it's always broke down. I don't believe in warranties much less buying them. And having to use it just means something isn't right and you're trying to get your money back. I could have kicked myself for paying for an extended warranty on my Kawi motorcycle......1st n last time I'll ever buy something I'll never need/use. For a used 04 ATV, I am VERY satisfied that Buzz keeps banging!

Here in Utah a 2004 Rubicon brings $4500 for a nice one.

A "nice" ( ) '05 Polaris Sportsman brings $3500 and for that you get their famous "true 4-wd", that smooth comfy ride and the way out.

A low mileage '04 with a winch, plow and new tires is going for $3400.

An '07 - $3700
An '08 - $3750

There is an '05 "anniversary" for sale with 491 mile on it for $4500.

A quote from a dealer selling this used one;

"2007 500 Polaris Sportsman LEGENDARY TOUGHNESS. Sportsman is engineered for those who seek the toughest the world has to offer- $4,69900"

What a line of crap.
