Default Polaris 6x6 Big boss - Removable rear?

Is it possible to remove the rear box/wheels on the 6x6 to make it into a normal 4x4 quad?

I can't seem to find this information anywhere.

If im not mistaken doesnt the swingarm go through both sets of wheels with 2 drive shafts to the rear tires... 8-8---8 kinda like that. I dont think you can remove the rear wheels unless you cut that swingarm off, and remove the second rear drive shaft and then you would have to do some handy fab work on the big hole you would have in the rear end.

Was only curious, not going to ruin a machine to do it, just taking it into consideration as we need a new utility atv, and a shorter one, with optional heavy hauling would be nice. The diagrams almost made it look like it could be unbolted.

Thanks for the info.

Yea no scence destroying a machine. Theres one sitting right down the road from me in a field. I might have to take a look at it today and see whats what that way I know for sure. I could easily be wrong as to them coming off, but Ill see if I can make it down there and see for myself.
