Built the top end due to worn rings. Engine now runs great...but when you get above 3/4 throttle and it revs up a little it starts cutting out bad...but it its in a pull like going up a hill it will pull hard and not cut out one bit. I have taken the timing both directions with no help........opinions?

Sounds like maybe your valves are floating, maybe too tight, I would check the clearance on the valves.

update...rings were toast...top end build and away she went
