Yamaha Rhino 450

HAs anyone ridden in one of these or have you seen a Rhino 450 in action?I'd really like a sidexside and the 450 is in my price range but I'm concerned if they have enough power.

i own one

i bought one the other day brand new....top speed is a tad over 40 mph for either the 450 the 660 or the 700 without mods.....the 450 actually has plenty of power for almost anyone other than young people who like to deep mud ride.

i love my 450 rhino....excellent machine, good power and geared like a tractor in low range. with a few mods you can push it to around 50 mph without major expense....get one and enjoy.

I ended up buying a 660.It tops out at 40 mph, gets there pretty quick.I wish the low range was geared lower.

wow thats all 40mph, i seen my friends go 55mph, with no mods at all, and 26" swamplites. It was a 660. I would prefer the Polaris RZR over any other side by sides.

At 42 mph it starts sputtering(rev limiter) you have to back off the throttle a little then it holds 40 mph.

I concur, My wifes toy is an 07 660 rhino and it is goverend like all other rhinos at 40-42 mph. I love driving that thing. Like a caddy on the trails, not sure the power of the 450 but heard they are geared differently so cant really notice much of a power difference. I am actually thinking about getting one for myself but the new 700 efi one. Rhino all they way, you will love that thing!!! -Tony
