I've fallen or jumped off my bike on a few occasions in deep mud holes. Wrecked 1 time on a rancher 2x4 350 I was doing 50 drifting around a curve on a dirt road and hit a piece of angle iron sticking up out the road it ripped the front right tire completely off I slid up an embankment hit a pine tree stump and flew thru the air 20 ft or so I got lucky I'm very athletic as well but i had a 20% tear of the mcl ligament in my right knee it took 6 months before I could walk with out a limp. Wear a helmet.try to keep safety in mind. Only go as fast as you want to crash lol. Im married and have a little girl so Im the responsible one now

Just take it slow, don't get out of your comfort zone. Learn how to read your terrain before you get to it so you have a plan when you get there. Most importantly, dont let anyone talk you into doing something you arent confident with.

It's all about how much fun you can have safely. Keep at it!

I'd suggest you find a local chapter of the ATV Safety Institute
ATV Safety Institute

I started out with a Honda Trail 70 in the late 60's then moved up
to 125's then Snowmobiles and Quads in the late 80's

In 2000 I bought a Suzuki Quadrunner 500 at that time Suzuki paid
me to take a four hour class in ATV Safety taught by my local chapter.

WOW is all I can say ! I'll admit I went in with the attitude of pretty
much knowing everything, what a mistake that was

After putting my pride aside I learned a ton and much of it I still apply
today especially now that I ride out west

ATV's are so different then bikes & sleds, it's well worth your time and check with your insurance companey as I also got a small discount
for taking an accredited course
