Default Best way to teach a young'un

My 8 year old just got her first Honda. She got a TRX 90. I can't remember how I learned to shift gears. Do any of you guys have any advise? Thanks

I tought my son by letting him sit in front of me while riding mine. To show him what to listen for. Then let him change the gears on my bike, with me behind him. Once he got it, I put him on his. He picked it up in a hour or two. Best riding partner I've ever had.

Yea thats kinda how I taught my wife on the recon. I let her drive with me behind her, when I knew it was time to shift I told her..... Then she got the listening to the motor part down.
