Default ATV financing intere$t rates?

What kind of interest rates are/do people getting these days when financing a bike? Assuming the buyer has good credit. I know this is probability a difficult questions to answer given all the variables such as downpayment and credit scores, but i'm just looking for ballpark #'s.

Local shop told me that with $0 down, the average person gets 9-13% interest. Excellent credit qualifies you for 1.99% on 36 months. He wouldn't go into much more detail without doing a credit app on me. I'm very particular about my credit and don't let people run it unless i'm ready to buy. Everytime it is ran for a loan it puts a small dent in it, at least thats what happened when I sold cars. We could tell how many times a person had their credit ran that moth before they came to us. So, I don't know what people with good-excellent credit would qualify for. Average credit for my area is around a 600-625. Im not average because im anal about it.

My fourwheeler was the first thing that I financed so I had absolutely no credit. The Honda shop told me that I had to have a cosigner which I knew I would. Then they told me even with a cosigner with perfect credit it would be 16.99%. So I told them forget it. I went to a credit union and took out a loan with the same cosigner and got 6.9% for 4 years.

I qualified for the 1.99 36 months but didn't want the big note so went with the 7.9 for 48 months with no money down. Four wheelers are hard to get a good interest rate on one. My buddy bought a 420 rancher his credit is shot they gave him 15% interest. Poor fella

Your best bet is to do what green demon did and go thru a credit union.
