I've seen those knives forged out of rail road spikes they heat the spike up and hammer it out and twist the handle, its amazing to watch it take shape. Custom knife making and hand forged knives are disappearing rapidly there just not many people that do it anymore. People have machine shops that will build a knife 98% complete in 15 min and sale it for a fraction of the cost and yet produce 100 knives a day.The skill is rare already and only becoming more scarce.

Beautiful knives Robert! I'd be interested in buying a knife exactly like Rich's, but with a black wood handle and polished screws instead. How much would that be?
