I will be building custom audio tubes, u can see mine, 2 6.5s Boss marine, 240 watt amp, 6"pvc, rhino lined, i used 45s on mine, but can use 90s, T's, Y's, or split tubes, i can make 2 speaker, 3 speaker, or 4 speaker. painted to ur choice. can use different speakers too. Will use bigger amps for mutilple speaker tubes, just PM me or email for prices, my email is weldermatt07@yahoo.com. when u tell me what u want i will put it on ebay and send you the auction number because they have good buyer/seller protection, so have an ebay account please, but i might do it off of paypal, heres mine

their are several of us who have built our own audio tubes, I'm running 4" split speakers, so it don't block the Pod Light......all for under $80

The only inconvenience Ive ran into is volume control, I put a SMALL dry box on the right fender on the warning label on Lisa's Quad which makes everything Electronic 100% water proof & fits perfect....the only problem is if she wants to skip a song or adj volume, she has to STOP...... open the box....adjust her MP3 close the lid..bla bla bla ...all of which is a pain in the rear! (mine is Velcroed to the tank & is open to the elements)

now here's a question: other than 2 brands who make a 1960's roller type wheel adjuster, NOBODY makes a solid state volume controller for MP3 players (that Ive found) and I'm not dropping $50-$300 for a ipod

what are you doing to keep the MP3 dry & for volume control? reason I asked is if you could come up with something like that solid state & water proof....... it would sell like hot cakes, as most of us want to use cheap MP3 players because we all know their not going to last on a Quad not even I-crap

here's my Audio Tube 2.0

This is one thing, Pelican i1010 Micro Case, search it, it is for a little IPOD but looks like it should work for yours, I have a small cheapo MP3 player too, i have just been riding with a couple of ziplock bags over it, but i'm fixing to buy something.
this one costs a little more, but should be great, Moose Aqua Box GPS / Phone / MP3
I'd also check walmart, they may even have something.

I found this volume control at walmart, but its not waterproof, but its cheap, Kross Inline headphone volume control. u could prob find some more, i've looked it up too, it is hard to find.

Thanks for the feedback,
We already have 4 Pelican 1010 Micro Case's caught them on sale for $5, that's is what I was talking about where I said, I put one on the right fender..........and I think were up to 7 MP3 players now, I keep finding them at flea markets NEW for next to nothing!!!!!!

the Koss is what I was referring to as a 1960's roller type wheel adjuster Volume controller, you can pick one up at Wal-mart or radio shack for around $17....problem with those is they might last 2-3 trips before they would be junk, if you ever see one in person you WILL understand....LOL...Very cheap made!

but what I would like to find is one of these for a MP3 player.....I already have 2 NEW ones for a ipod (another Trial & Error bargain)....but they do not work with MP3 players

this one was made by iLuv,
I will NOT spend money on anything made by apple (ipod-iphone ipad) as you can tell by now I do not like the way they do business, other than that their products work good...LOL....so you you run across an adaptor that works with MP3 players like the one above....Please let me know!

I'm a Computer Tech and been searching the net since last winter for one that will work, which is how I learned about all this stuff & more...and Yes I know I got way too much hardware collecting dust, but it's hard for me to pass up on a deal!

Respects
Glide

PS: as far as the Water proof Mp3 players go's ...you can buy a ipod nano cheaper...but hay it's a blast for me to exchange Idea's with some one who is interested in the same stuff I'm into....!!!!!!

i found all that u found in like 5 mins or so, lol. when i'm not goin deep, i just ride with mine hung over my handle bars in between the brake cable so i can hit it easy. But I'd like to get one of them Moose mounts with a micro case in it, so i can go deep. But i could just buy a waterproof one cheaper and be done with it.
Oh, and check this out, heres an inline controller u might can use.

yea it took me no time to find them either...but Ive kept searching for the last year or so looking for something different or waited for sales/bargins on ALL the stuff I got ..sooner or later ill find a solid state one!

But this one & the Koss would not last last 2-3 trips around here!
it's not protected......Dust is our biggest problem,Water is 2nd!

but heck honestly.....I'm in no big hurry , this gives me something else to look for/do in my spare time...if I get it just like I wanted it....I would just change it......hehehhe
