Time to send out some Prayers for this Pilot!

around 5:30-6PM this afternoon we lost power here at the house, so we turned on the Scanner to see what may have happened (the Interstate had been **** down most of the day due to a Tractor & Trailer Wreck) We figured it might just be Electric Dept fixing the lines

Found out it was in Royal Blue where we ride, the National Guard Pilot had hit power lines and hit hard, as of this post their still trying to get him out we drove up but could not get close enough to see anything other than 2 more of these sitting in a field, we shoot video of them, but this pic is the same as the video!

...were thinking he landed in water as they were asking for re-breathers...lots of Huge mud holes up their!......??????

Were trying to find out via local news and Scanner if the pilot make it out OK, last we heard on the Scanner the Military sent word that only ONE person approach the wreck (or that's what it sounded like) & they were on their way..not to touch ANYTHING!

as a former solder i hope this thred doesnt turn into" hay lets look at the dead service members and how thay died " im not starting any thing with anybody so please dont take it that way.....rich
also my prayers go to the service member and his or her famly

No not on this end Rich, I know we have active and former GI's.
it's more of a Chopper Crashed in a area we ride thread...either way it's not good, also it being local it possibly may be a friends family member or somebody I know..... so No BS on my end!

Ill pass along anything I hear as it's a big deal for a small area, but since the military showed up the Scanner has been silent,.... just cop chatter dealing with Saturday night drunks.

Sad news, Our Thoughts and prayers are with these families.

The Tennessee National Guard has confirmed that two pilots on board a OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Helicopter have died after a crash.

The only good part of this tragic story is (if you wanna call it that ) is their was a teenager riding his quad in the area who come to the aid of the other 2 choppers asking if he could help in anyway, one of the other pilots asked if he could borrow his ATV, so the young man give the pilot his ATV to go check on the downed Chopper........something I think any one of us would do!
also they released the names of the pilot based out of Knoxville TN for more info go to WBIR TV......

This is all I"m going to post on this as I feel like Rich does, I don't want to to be a dog & pony show, it's just Sad News from a Small town.
