Default Hatfield McCoy Trails

I'm thinking about taking a road trip to the HMT's. Just looking for some reviews from anyone that's been there. When is the best time to go, good places to stay, etc. Thanks!

I went last october for the first time and had a great time. We rented a house on Bud mountain for a 4 day weekend. The group i went with goes in spring-april, summer-july and fall-october. We rode the pinnacle creek trail system. I plan on going again in april. There was so many of us the rent was only $20.00 a night and that was a bed, it was only $10.00 a night for the guys who camped out in the yard in tents with ext. cords from the house for heaters/radios ect... Everywhere we would stop the locals would strike up a conversation with us, they are very nice laid back people, not what i'm use to here in baltimore! Heres some pics.

So, it is family friendly then? I was wondering if there was stuff for the wife and kids to do while the boys hit the trails. The kids are not quite old enough to ride yet. Soon though! Can't wait!

Even though this is an old posting, I feel compelled to comment. When riding the HM Trails, if the child fits the machine that he/she is riding, then you should have no problems.
