Default garmin topo map

hey, just bought the garmin vista x, just wondering about the topo maps. is this a must buy item,is it worth the money. this is my first handheld GPS unit, so im clueless. buy the way loving the garmin, real easy to use..

I have the topo maps for my Garmin Legend, copied them from a guy I worked with. Saved me a bunch of money.

have you seen the Google Earth Over lays I posted? if so you might be able to get those and the topo maps from "Dan the Map Man" for $50....theirs a LOT of great trails already mapped out, all ya got to do is follow

Very useful. A garmin usually comes with just the main US highways installed, when you load the topo maps it also adds all the secondary roads and trails not to mention waterways. I would recommend it.

I never thought to add what some these trails look like that Dan has Mapped out...their Huge the first one is about 40+ miles Square, have not been to Pickett yet, but I am told its pretty massive too!
but is well worth $50 of anybody's money that is going to be riding in Tennessee!
