Nowadays this is a double edged sword. Many chevy's are assembled in Mexico. Im not giving an opinion but honestly, which is better, providing jobs in the USA which in turn stimulates spending and provides means for the pursuit of the American Dream, OR giving jobs to Mexicans and sending profits back to the US to big businessmen who have so many tax breaks its not even funny. Im all about American made and I've always enjoyed American muscle but with globalization who knows where the money is really going. I know here in Alabama we have Mercedez, Honda, Toyota, and Hundai manufacturing plants, all of which have foriegn interests yet accounts for a large percentage of jobs throughout Alabama. Again Im not taking sides in the debate but I thought I would just offer a different view to make the conversation a little more well rounded.

yeah its hard to say which is the better way to go. because i cant deny that honda and toyota are good cars and usually last longer than chevy or ford in my experience but as far as where the money goes you never know because when you buy a chevy now the money goes to the government which then probably goes to china to pay for the loan we got to "stimulate" business.....

I've heard a lot of this from people lately. MY THEORY: Doc's are trying to make all there money before ObamaCare kicks in. When that happens they will be the industries lowest paid professionals.

Haha again, interesting view points with just the right twists of sarcasm and humor. In the end I'm a little selfish with the quality issue. I do want what's the best bang for my consumer dollar but it's difficult to factor in all the real costs over time.

As for docs, it's been a declining profession for some time. We're a society geared towards fast money. Takes too long and costs too much to go to school to be a doctor and then lose it all over one malpractice suit. It's not the prestigious profession it used to be. So maybe we have more lawyers now.

I agree with ya ....American Iron is the best, when it comes to motorcycles (a Personal Choice) but the only money from all the Jap cars Ive bought that might went over seas was the money that I spent at auto zone or Napa.

Ive never owned a NEW Car in my life, never will! and really that's how the money gets sent over Seas is when buying new....if I'm wrong somebody correct me!

so I think that would more or less exclude me in the sending money over seas or I hope it does!.....as far as Cars go! as the ones Ive always bought were so old it would not matter what it was....unless I was buying parts for it, THEN you end up buying Jap parts.

EVEN my Harley I have to buy foreign parts for because ya sure can NOT buy them from Harley anymore.....its too old & they look at you like.....you asked ME for WHAT?......how dare you!!!!!!!

and that's about the time the Cussing begins.

Love, peace & Harley Grease (American Grease not the Rag Head Kind!)
