It's the shits when it locks you out of the task manager and the only thing that shows is the start button with the option to turn off the computer only, but the virus pop up blocked the shut down pop up so that was no good also.. lol I got a fake unlock code for the virus and proceeded to get rid of it. It wouldn't even let me start in safe mode. It wouldn't have been so bad if I could have caught it sooner.

Glide, ya I got your number.. in my inbox.

Hmm, I got "Windows Recovery" or whatever it is called, just this summer. It is technically a malware, but a royal pain in the ass. The 'puter had to go to the shop to get that one cleaned up.

I would string up some of the jackasses who think this crap up, I tell you.

yea I know exactly which virus it is by the description , their are a Dozen varients , but its basically the same one., did you get a fake antivirus popup saying your infected....most of the time that's a simple tell-tell sign if that virus, but not always.

that is most likely the same one TD got, just a different variant...fairly easy to get rid of.

A 3 yr old playing games on my computer. I'm not sure what he clicked on. lol I seem to "like" a bunch of crap on FB when he gets on my computer. By the time I found out a lot of damage as done already. Oh well, that's what I get letting him play on it. Most of the time malware blocks everything but this one slipped by.

Don't feel bad Ive got it leaving this site going to the Harley site......I think it come in thru cookies.

anyways this is a GREAT time to express the value of doing backups with all the sales only a week away.....One back up is worth it's weight in Gold especially things like SS's kid learning to ride....etc!

Somethings can not be replaced & I see people loose photos & Videos like that all the time!

Yes, it came through those fake pop-ups. It's trick was to hide all your files and offer you a fix for xx.xx dollars.

Nothing actually disappeared, but it was a whole lot of registry cleanup to get rid of it and not all the menus showed all the files after the cleanup even. Just an annoying messy little program...
