all this bacon talk.......its great to eat, but more fun to make!
 Good Lord folks get your mind out of the gutter!...LOL I was talking about raising Pigs! when I was growing up we always kept hogs for eating...its a real FUN job to kill one and process the meat, And I can remember "one year" we processed 26....still can't remember why so many THAT year, mostly we would kill 3-4 a year the funny thing is it's not like we needed to do it, the ole'man just liked to raise his own & to see me scramble to "try" to keep up!

Pigs stink. A little boy down the street that used to watch Happy in California raised swine for 4H. You could hear them squealing all the way down the street and that was far.

Glide, this was just the regular squealing before they got butchered. I gave up pork when I was on a special diet/exercise plan and haven't been able to eat anything besides lunchmeat since.....I'll kill some ribs and pay for it later though LOL....

The meat would not be worth eating, due to it being SO TOUGH, I know you really might not wanna hear this....... but if you take down a animal when it Scared or Mad they are "tensed up" & the meat will be as tough as whit leather & it's CRUEL to the animal!..... on the other hand if their relaxed and you take them down it will be Very Tender & they never know what happened! and to be blunt with ya it's way better for you if it's home grown & most likely not make you sick, due to the fact their not fed steroids like Chickens are! in these Chicken operations they grow up to 4 lb Chickens in 6 weeks.....From BIRTH! so really none of it is good for humans Ive been to a load of chicken houses and watch them have heart attacks from so many steroids! and they do the same thing to Swine....unless it honest to God real Free Range meat (Natural grown)......but the steroids & other Junk they feed them are why so many people now a days have SO many health problems! anyways their are ways of growing your own food with out the stench and filth, and is how it was done for 1000's of years......OK I'm hopping off the stump now (yea-yea I know I get carried away at times when i hear about somebody being plain Stupid)
