Default Its the little things...

Replaced my wheel bearing and ball joints on my passenger side of my 500 Tuesday and had the snap ring break when taking it out. I figured no problem, town will have one. Lowes, Tractor Supply, Napa.. nobody so I call Honda today. Only a couple bucks each but it will be Tuesday before they get here. Now I tore it apart right in front my garage so now I can't get in with anything else. For some reason I thought my new bearings had snap rings with them. Sucks this little part can put you down like this. I thought about putting a few tack welds in there but decided against it.

ratchet strap a floor jack with wheels to it, and you can then move it about LOL

but I wou;dn'
t eld anything just for a few days, making more work to remove that's all, and adding heat to the metal can weaken it(very liitle but?)

My rancher has been down two months or better waiting for funds to replace front ring gear, diff bearings, ball joints, and wheel bearings. I've got my bearings, seals and ball joints installed but now I'm waiting for shims to adjust gear lash before I can get it back together.

I've got a 420AT torn down and it's been that way for a few months. The deeper I dig into it, the pricier the rebuild gets. Needs crank, top end (going to go 475CC), just ordered front bearings, needs ball joints and tie rod ends, brake pads, and a ton of other little stuff.

I'm going to have to order a little bit at a time.

When I went into mine I was expecting to just be putting a new clutch pack in my DGL but as soon as a jacked it up I knew I was wrong and them I found the ring gear broken.

Come on guys... hurry up.. I'm ready to ride... lol

If you want to hear about the little things try doing this for a living and having the customer bitching because of the little things. You just can't stock every part there is.. Then there is always the complaining about why it broke. Not long ago a guy brought in his SXS for a service, heater and transmission problems. I changed the oil and installed the heater. He came to pick it up and asked what was wrong with the transmission. I simply said it operates off of oil pressure, no oil no go. He went on asking where it went and stuff and I just flat out asked when the last time it was serviced (the meter wasn't reset for 2,200+miles over do for service). I never did get an answer.

Sometimes it's the little things.. I'm off topic and ranting a little but hey... I deal with that stuff daily.
