okay so i have a brand new winch and a brand new battery all put in, and my winch is not pulling in, everything else is working fine but the winch not pulling in... it goes out but not in... i did hook up my new winch to my old winch relay which was a warn 2500 and the new one i have is a superwinch 2500 would that cause the winch from not pulling in???? and the little red wire on the AC where you can charge phones on the ATV the wire ripped but i fixed that and stripped down the red rubber on the wires and put a connector over the wire with wire hanging out a bit right through the hole where its suposed to be connected and the connector is securing that for a nice tight fit really good, it worked for a bit but then gave up. the winch still only goes out but does not go in... would anyone know???

I would start by testing the rocker switch and work back from there.

is there anywhere else i could hook up that little red wire to besides the AC for the ciggarette lighter...?

I'm not real sure what your referring to when you say AC?

Do you have a problem with the 12 socket?
