Winch Mount??? - Honda Foreman Forums : Rubicon, Rincon, Rancher and Recon Forum

I have a 06' Foreman 500 S and I am looking at buying a winch. I can get a great deal on a mounting plate for a 01'-04' but I am not sure if it would also work on an 06'. Can someone tell me if there is a difference in the frame or front setup between 04' and 06'?

Yup, pretty sure its different. Get the right one, they have the years split for a reason.

fits an 06' Foreman but says it doesn't come with the roller fairlead. I am buying a Warn 25XT and it has a roller fairlead. I assume the one that comes on the winch is the only fairlead I need, correct? Just want to be sure before I order it.

Should be but make sure it says roller fairlead and not roller fairlead mount, two different things.

You can look at this site and at the bottom it tells you the mount specific to the year. This will give you an idea of what should work as far as year.

Here is the text from Viper that shows the different years that their specific mounts fit.

Foreman - MA11905

2002 & older TRX 400 4x4
2003 & older TRX 450ES 4x4
1998-2004 TRX 450S 4x4

Foreman - MA11911

2007-2011 Foreman models
2007-2009 TRX 500
Please Note: Max 3000 will not work as the terminals interfere with the frame - all other sizes fit

Foreman - MA11914

2005-2006 TRX 500 2x4, 4x4 - Manual & ES

Foreman - MA11920 - COMING SOON

2012 Foreman TRX 500

I believe the roller fairlead mounts to the winch, not the plate and comes with the XT25. It should be the only one you need.

Yep, your right. The fairlead will come with the winch when you buy it.

i bought the cycle country for my bike but it would not fit due to the power steering computer next to the engine computer. i still have the mounting plate from cycle country and no were to use it. i ended up getting one off ebay cheaper then my dealer. so make sure you have the right model numbers.
