Default 2012 foreman 500 cv axle question

just bought a new outter cv boot fpr my left front cv axle, i was wondering how to get the boot over the knuckle, or does the knuckle come off the cv shaft itself? thank you!!!!

look at a parts microfiche to help you take it apart im sure there the same as older model foremans

yes. the knuckle separates from the axle shaft. i can almost guarantee that the boot won't go on over the knuckle! lol...

best bet and fastest way is to remove the axle, less chance of damaging the circlip, then dismantle the inboard joint (undo the boot and slide it apart then take the boot off) and then remove the outboard cv boot afterwards. did mine at the shop in 30min. with proper tools you can reuse the banding, other wise you can buy new banding from your local parts store or honda dealer along with grease. make sure you clean the **** out of it so you have no crap (mud, rocks etc) in it.

just got done installing the new boot but its still clinking, so im gonna need a new knuckle and try and get it done under warranty hopefully.
