Okay, I know i'm beating this thing to death, but I have cash burning a hole in my pocket and need to make my mind up on a 2012 foreman. The one thing I can't decide on is EPS. Everyone seems to love it, on the trail. However, I do occasionally ride pavement and I just talked to someone with a EPS foreman and bighorns. They said its down right scary to ride on pavement. Said the bars wobble from side to side and it feels unstable. They told me their non EPS rancher (same year model) does not feel unstable at all (same tires). So I want to ask those of you who have EPS to tell me what you like and dont like about it. Also, do you feel your steering feels unstable on pavement? Thanks!

this is the first time of ever hearing about this "problem" with the EPS ...(shaking head)

1. I think I shot the horse 2 weeks ago. 2. I rarely top 30-35 mph and thats only when I hit pavement. 3. First time i've heard it too. Everyone else i've talked to swears by it, which is why I came to the experts, yet again. Forgive me Rich, for I have sinned.... I just don't want to make a $6,500 mistake. |

after the problems honda had with the ATCs in the 70s honda spends million of dollars a year on making a verry safe and stable atv so thay dont get sued again . the only time i have herd of a "death wooble"on a atv is when parts are worn or bent, a tire out of round , or the front end is out of alignment. so good luck on your honda purchess .................someday

I've got the $$ now. I just have to wait until spring break. Nursing school takes up 8-5 mon-fri, so i'm in classes while the shop is open. and TSK, they dont have an area to test ride them in. They are downtown beside the chevy dealer and surrounded by busy streets. |

So, get the EPS and don't get Bighorns! I agree with TSK, test drive both at a dealer. In hindsight, I wish I had the EPS. It would make the tight, slow technical riding easier.

damm i feel for you man and i know you don't want to make a mistake, if you didn't ride pavement i would say it's a definet get, but i just don't know how it handle's on pavement seeing that four wheelers aren't made for that you could have a problem, but again i've never heard of any problems

I have no problems with my 27s with EPS and I ride 40-50 mph on blacktop alot to get to a trail that I ride...the Zillas actually made my bike ALOT smoother compared to the stockers
