Default New powermadd handguards

i dont know where I saw it mentioned, but someone was talking about handguards for the 2012, and i have been looking for a pair that would fit it for a long time now, and could not come up with anything so i purchased these powermadd universal mount handguards, there pretty flat, they dont wrap around, and the website had them listed in the atv section but the package showed them on dirtbikes, but alas i made them fit, and they dont look half bad. so heres a few pics for anyone thinking about handguards on a 2012

Thats cool, I just got the powermadd star series myself. I got the wrong mounts the first time, then dennis kirk had the star series universal mount and they came out nice. They bolted halfway down the bend so I didn't have to move a thing. I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow

That's nice. Yea please post some pics. I had to move the brake lever about half an inch on one side to make these fit. And due to the ES shifter on one side one guard sticks out about an inch further than the other. But u can't tell at all

I bought a set for mine when I first got it but didnt like them and gave them to my neighbor. Now that I think back I should have kept them and mounted them underneath the ones im running now. It would have been the best of both worlds..... warm and protected hands.
They sure would have come in handy 2 weeks ago when I had my hand smashed by a 4" frozen vine.... my pinky finger is still messed up.

HAHA Yea I was pushing through the vine (in the middle of the trail) and once it got to the edge of my bumper it just smashed my hand which was frozen too. It didnt hurt that bad then but when I woke up the next morning my whole hand was swollen. Now when I hit it off things of touch it a certain way it has a "needle sharp" pain running through the very tip. Ohh well, I guess Im gonna have to cut that vine down lol. Its only been there for the last 3 years!

Default powermadd

I got the star series handgaurds and mounting kit from denniskirk. The mounting kit is part# 619382. It is well worth the 30 bucks. You dont have to move a thing- no controls lines etc. There is plenty of adjustment where it meets the bar and on the handguard side as well. Hope this helps. Last but not least the star series you can remove shields so it vents in the summer.
