I'm a former Auto technician 5years switched over to the HVAC tech past 5years and love it so far. There's no short of work here in Florida for A/C guys. I also do odd jobs that include welding, carpentry, plumbing and small engine repair.

just a note...not only is this a cool thread,

but it's good to know we have guys in so many different chosen professions, it's nice to be able to ask a pro their opinion or questions and not have to worry about them trying to bleed you dry like most of the repair shops/people do now a days.

In short it is a Great Resource we have at our finger tips, We should use it, but wisely.

I did the same job about 26 years ago, worked there for about 8 months, it was a cool job, but the loading dock was about 40 years old and WORE SLAP out, when a Strong wind come along their would be up to 100 tanks fall over, I fugured it was a good idea to move on before one of the tanks went through several buildings....was about the only job that actually scared me due to the dock hazard.

and I HATED delivering/picking up those little green O2 bottles! although the NOS was nice to have on the truck at all times, I got asked where it was going several times, always said it's good to have a spare in case a dentist runs out you Y'all send me some where on a emergency run!

I would dare to say THAT don't happen much any more..to this day I don't know why I didn't think to buy a air tank for the house.......hehehehe
( Needless to say, I used to Party Hearty back in the day)
